We moved our chicken pasture fence around the corn to try and keep the coon out. We have our first two ears, along with 32 pints of pinto beans and 18 pints of white beans shelled and frozen. David is still shelling the black and red. We have 1/2 a bushel of tomatoes picked and the jars washed for canning. The tomatoes are back behind the corn, you can not see them, but they are prolific and turning red. Below is a beauty from the plot up front on the left along with my wonderful kale that feeds me one meal a week, and the king corn stalks. Silver queen on the right suffered some wind damage yesterday, but should be ok.
