Fall Pickings

Forcast predicts a frost tonight, 10/21, so I harvested some greens, end of the tomatoes and peppers, basil and parsley and some flowers.  House smells like basil and marigolds.  I put the rest of the greens and lettuce under a row cover.  The failed corn field came up in wild amaranth.  Perhaps the earth is trying to feed us in her own way.

  1. Nancy, a great note on the approaching frost, your response, and the fragrant reward for a season’s attention and work.
